  • Donne was one of the most creative headline writers I have ever met, using metaphor in a way that most aptly described the news event. Donne was smart, cared about those who wrote for his paper, and engendered trust in his staff. I am blessed to have worked with him and Winnipeg is better for his contributions to it.
